* Are you an arts organisation working with young people in East Kent?
* Wanting to develop your youth participation offer but not sure how to take it to the next level?
* Been thinking about recruiting a Young Trustee to your board, or setting up a Youth Forum but not sure how to get started?

This one-day training session is for you!

Pie Factory Music, in partnership with Turner Contemporary, and with support from Art31Kent, will be hosting a one-day training session for representatives of arts organisations in and around East Kent focusing on youth voice and participation – what it means, what it looks like in your organisation, and how good youth voice practice can enable young people to engage in more meaningful participation in your organisation and its offer.

Adem Holness, a Youth Voice Consultant, musician and former Roundhouse Young Trustee, will be leading the training alongside colleagues from Pie Factory Music and Turner Contemporary.

When is it? Friday 7 July, 10am – 5pm
Who is it for? Anyone working for an arts organisation with an offer for young people in the East Kent area. Freelancers are also welcome!
How much is it? Free!

The day will be split into two sections:

10am – 1pm: Introduction to Youth Voice & Participation.

Lunch

2pm – 5pm: Youth Governance – a guide to Young Trustees and Youth Boards.

The training will be informal, informative, and – hopefully – inspiring. We aim to provide ample opportunity for networking, getting to know colleagues and their work that you might not have encountered before in a spirit of openness and support.

We hope you can join us!
