We Wantsum Futures – join our movement

Posted: 3rd November 2026

Pie is 25 in 2027! That’s 25 years of enhancing the lives of Thanet’s young people. 25 years of opportunities. 25 years of hope.

Together, we saved Ramsgate Youth Centre in 2026, securing the bricks and mortar for generations to come and our young people won a National Campaign Award for their hard work and determination.

Now, we’re focusing on fuelling the next 25 years so no young person in Thanet is left behind, and they have the support they need to thrive. We’re opening our doors wider, upgrading the space and turning up the volume on young voices, as the next slice of Pie begins.

In 2027, we’re planning a year-long celebration including workshops, gigs, music video screenings and micro grants that will put the money straight into the hands of young people and venues to put on their own events.

Why this matters now:

  • Ramsgate is ranked as the most deprived town in Kent.
  • Thanet remains one of the most deprived districts in England.
  • Nearly 1 in 4 children and young people in Thanet live in absolute poverty.
  • We have the highest rate of youth unemployment in the South East (12.2%).
  • Youth organisations like ours are facing the biggest funding cuts ever.

What we can do together this winter:

Join our Wantsum Futures movement – tell everyone you know and share on your social channels.

Come to our Wantsum Futures Party on 19th November at Ramsgate Music Hall from 7pm and support our Emerging Artist as they perform their latest music from their new release ‘wantsum mixtape: cut different’, available on all streaming platforms and limited edition CD.

Fuel the next 25 years – add to the funding we achieve by donating £25 (the cost of a takeaway), buying an Open Arms Cookbook and Pie tee bundle, hosting a festive event in aid of us, gifting £250 if you’re a business, or volunteering 2.5 hours of your time to us. Whatever you can manage, we are hugely grateful.

Thank you for supporting the future of Pie Factory Music.

Every action you take powers our work with young people and inspires hope. However big or small, it sends a message to young people that they are seen and valued in their community, now and in generations to come.

You’re a Pie hero!

“I can escape here [to Pie]. Without this security I wouldn’t have a place to just be myself. It’s helped me with my mental health, my confidence.” Rachel
